About

My name is Ashton Griffith and I’m a multimedia storyteller!

Currently, I’m a graduate student at USC Annenberg. My work focuses on creating stories that help audiences better understand the people and systems behind sports.

Professionally, I’m currently working as Sports Editor for Annenberg Media and Sports Anchor Annenberg Television Network (ATVN) as well as host and produce my own podcast, The Get Back Podcast.

What makes me unique is my versatility. I’m comfortable in the studio, in the field, and behind the scenes; whether that’s anchoring, reporting, editing, producing, and pitching ideas.

Outside of sports journalism, I’m an avid WWE viewer because I’m intrigued by the layered narratives, character development, and long-term storytelling. I also spend a lot of time dissecting rap albums from my favorite artists such as Kendrick Lamar and other artists who treat music as narrative. These interests fuel my creative instincts and influence how I see sports, media, and culture as interconnected spaces.

This portfolio reflects not just what I can do, but how I think. I’m building a career rooted in impact, and I’m excited to continue growing.
